Picnic and foraging season is in full swing! New eco-homeware shop Chalk & Moss has you covered, making healthy outdoor living tasty, ethical and easy. Bric and The Organic Company are just two of the many ranges carefully chosen for their eco-credentials and beautiful design by Chalk & Moss founder and biophilic design expert Anna Sjostrom Walton.
Anna explains: ‘Biophilic design is all about finding every opportunity in life to connect with nature. Research proves that surrounding ourselves with natural elements such as plants and plant-based products, can reduce stress hormone production and help to counteract our fast-moving digital lives.’
Bric bags are handmade in Bristol, where the maker liaises with the university to further advance research and development of green material solutions. The resulting food bags, lunch bags, foraging bags and sandwich wraps are made of eco-friendly durable cotton canvas in a choice of colours and linings to carry hot or cold food. The foraging bag has a waist strap, making it ideal for picking mushrooms, berries, elderflower and more.
Aside from Bric’s own presence at local markets with these new products, Bric products are currently exclusively available at Chalk & Moss, where prices start at £22.
The Organic Company, whose range of super soft kitchen and bathroom textiles are available at Chalk & Moss, also makes popular food produce bags, all-purpose bags and lunch bags in 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. These help reduce single use plastic waste in your life, and avoid harmful substances getting in contact with your food. Prices range from £4.30 for a food bag to £16.20 for a lunch bag.
Perfect for fruits, vegetables, bulk pulses, snacks on the go, and even travel toiletries, food produce bags and all-purpose bags are a part of the zero waste shopping mission.
