Cheering Up the UK 1 Free Voucher at a Time. British Business Giveaway £25 Prize Every Day

With record-high energy prices, soaring inflation and now a shortage of fruit and vegetable, it can seem that everything is all doom and gloom in the UK.

Still, one Leicester-based company has made it their mission to cheer the country up and is giving away a daily £25 voucher for customers to spend with fellow British-based businesses.

Fischer Future Heat, who manufacture ‘zero emissions’ heating systems, has been running a daily social media competition since the beginning of December and has already given away over £6000 in prizes.

Fischer CEO Keith Bastian says: “We want to do our part to help make people’s lives a little bit easier, and what better way to do that than with a daily giveaway? We hope that our #FischerCares competition will make people smile and brighten their day.”

The competition is taking Fischer’s social media platforms by storm. On Facebook, over 500,000 hopefuls have gotten involved; on Twitter, prize-hungry participants have reached more than 300,000.

The #FischerCares concept began as an advent giveaway with a daily prize won throughout December 2022. On Christmas Eve, three winners walked away with a 100% efficient Fischer HeatCore electric radiator.

With no end in sight for the struggles many families face, Fischer has decided to continue with the giveaway throughout 2023 and has vowed to carry it on for as long as it takes to put a smile back on the face of the British public.

So far, over 90 lucky winners have enjoyed £25 vouchers from great British institutions, including M&S, Next, John Lewis and, for those who love a sausage – Greggs.

Prize winner Roger Stanley from Dorchester said: “It was a great surprise to receive a notification that I was a winner of a £25 gift card, having just been told my rent was going up by 6% and service charge by 60%. It was a nice change to receive some good news. So thank you very much.”

Fall in living standards

According to the Office of National Statistics, 94% of adults reported an increase in their cost of living in January 2023 compared to the year before. Higher food, energy and fuel prices mean real disposable income will fall by 4.3% in 2023 – the biggest fall in living standards since the 1950s.

Low-income households are most affected by high food and energy prices, with families cutting back on essential spending and the poorest homes resorting to skipping meals or using food banks.

With energy bills expected to increase by a further £500 from April, Fischer CEO Keith Bastian is determined to carry on the giveaway throughout 2023.

He added: “While a £25 voucher is not going to change the world, we hope that winners enjoy the opportunity to treat themselves and their families in these difficult times.”
