Internationally acclaimed musicians Emir Kusturica with The No Smoking Orchestra and Goran Bregovic with The Wedding and Funeral Orchestra will share the same stage during the unique Balkans Music Festival on 5th November 2019 at the legendary Eventim Hammersmith Apollo, London.
The Festival will also bring to London audience unique music bands having Balkans background, like an outstanding eclectic multicultural group The Paprika Band.
‘I am delighted to be performing with an outstanding Balkan Music Bands to bring a new idea to one of the most vibrant and exciting countries on the planet, Great Britain,’ Goran stated.
‘We all have music that we carry with us for certain occasions. This time I had inspiration of the idea that I’m the part of something bigger than me. And this is the Balkans Music Festival in London, combining the best traditions of show and musical culture of the Balkans at one stage.’
The New York Times stated: ‘Serbian Gypsy brass bands are party generators, and Goran Bregovic’s compositions does that job.’
Over three decades these musicians have inspired a massive cult phenomenon across Europe selling out venues such as The Zenith in Paris.
